SETX Seniors Resource: Harbor Hospice Testimonial
Southeast Texas Hospice Guide
Testimonials for Harbor Hospice
Perhaps the best way to understand what hospice provides for Southeast Texas seniors and their families is to hear from the families of local people who have chosen hospice.
SETX Seniors will be running a series of Southeast Texas hospice testimonials to provide valuable insight into what hospice has to offer.
Southeast Texas seniors have increasingly chosen hospice as a way to live on their own terms.
On SETXseniors.com we have been assisting Southeast Texas seniors and their families with getting more information about hospice- what hospice is, how hospice works, how to get more information about hospice, and testimonials from the families of Southeast Texas seniors who have chosen hospice.
Today’s Southeast Texas hospice testimonial is from Michelle Ritter O’Bannion, Gordon Ritter’s Daughter.
Gordon Ritter selected Southeast Texas’ own Harbor Hospice.
Here is Michelle’s Harbor Hospice testimonial:
“We entered Harbor Hospice on June 25, 2010 in room 25 where dad decided he was going to do things his way. We never left his side and Harbor became our second home.
Dad shared his miracle story and passed out his gospel CD’s to any and everyone who walked in his room. Nurses from other parts of the Hospice came to visit him and he loved hearing how God had worked in their lives. Dad knew God had blessed him with time because he still had lives to touch!
The doctors would come and tell us dad wouldn’t make it through the night only for us to find him sitting up the next morning drinking ensure and listening to Glen Beck. He was thrilled to see the Harbor Hospice nurses come by and look at him in amazement. God was in control of this situation and wanted us all to know it.
As dad declined he was in no real pain and was excited to finally meet his Lord.
Each of our nurses took the time to talk to dad and each treated him with the utmost respect.
On July 31, 2010 I was honored to be by his side when the time came and so blessed to be comforted by the nurses who loved him.
We were meant to be at Harbor Hospice where God walks the halls.
The staff is now family and I will be eternally grateful to them for opening their hearts and loving Daddy as if he were their own.”
We left them with a message which read “Room 25 The Ritter Suite Where Miracles Happen.”
