Southeast Texas Senior Volunteer Opportunity with CASA of Southeast Texas
Southeast Texas Senior Volunteer Opportunity
CASA of Southeast Texas
Southeast Texas Seniors looking for a meaningful volunteer experience are being invited to join CASA of Southeast Texas’ dedicated team of child advocates.
CASA of Southeast Texas has a simple motto: “I AM FOR THE CHILD“.
When home is no longer safe for a child, and the child must enter the Southeast Texas foster care system, a judge may appoint a committed volunteer called a CASA or Court Appointed Special Advocate™. The volunteer’s focus is on that child, giving hope and help in guiding the child to a safe, permanent home.
CASA child advocates often speak for the child in court, helping judge’s act in the child’s best interest.
Currently, 82 children in Southeast Texas are waiting for a CASA rep.
If you are a Southeast Texas senior with a heart for helping children, becoming a CASA child advocate could be a perfect fit.
